Tone and Chord Recognition as an Android Application

The aim of this work is to recognize tones and chords on any musical instrument using the microphone on Android mobile devices. The app scans or records the sounds which are analyzed. It writes to a visual representation which is similar to the musical notation. The work describes the problems of recognition and the solution of the problem using fast Fourier transformation and analysis of the spectrum of volumes. Work describes the theory of music and the training of individual tones. The application was subjected to user tests and recognition accuracy tests. The conclusion includes tests results and statistics from the Google Play publication.
Digital modeling of the orchestra sound

This report is guide along simulation of sound sources and orchestra. Basic physical characteristics necessary to the simulation of sound sources are described here. Description of the creation of directivity files in ODEON and theirs conversion from CATT-Acoustic to ODEON are described here too. Acquired directivity files were used for simulation of orchestra and for testing the directivity characteristics to room acoustics parameters.

The bachelor´s thesis is focused on branding of company selling musical instruments. The first part of the thesis deals with theoretical knowledges. In the analytical part is application of theoretical knowledges on the observed company. Based on elaboration of individual branding elements of the company and competition, are processed activities suggestions for brand development of the company.
Musical instruments recognition from audio records using Music information retrieval techniques

This paper discusses design and implementation of classifying system for recognition of musical instruments from audio records with use of Musical Information Retrieval techniques. In the first part, paper describes parameters used for instrument classification, calculation of said parameters from records and reduction of feature vector. Next part is devoted to tuning and implementation of various classifiers with focus on neural networks. These classifiers ar further tested on records from IRMAS dataset wchich contain 11 musical instruments playing solo or with other instruments. Results of classifiers tested on different parameters and different numbers of instruments are discussed in the last part.
Singing and chosen musical instruments as means for speech development and correct pronunciation in kindergarden

In my bachelor thesis, I deal with singing and selected musical instruments for speech development and correct pronunciation in kindergarten. I dealt with music education in kindergarten, both from the point of view of teacher preparation in kindergarten, and various issues that can accompany kindergarten children in this field. For this reason, I tried to combine speech and pronunciation with music education, because in this age category, correct speech and pronunciation are the basis for functional future communication. Furthermore, in my bachelor thesis there is a weekly plan where I try to involve music education as a means of better speech and pronunciation of individual letters. I chose letters with which children tend to have a majority problem.
Irish Traditional Music at Czech School

The master's thesis deals with Irish traditional music and its possible use in music teaching at lower secondary schools in the Czech Republic. The theoretical part provides information on Irish traditional music and the historical and geographical conditions under which it developed. The practical part deals with the possibilities of its implementation into school education in accordance with the Framework Educational Programme for Basic Education. Accompanying the thesis is an appendix consisting of pictures, texts, worksheets and sheet music. The attached CD contains audio and video recordings as well as multimedia presentations.
Development of music and movement choreography for preschool children using my own didactic tools

Master's thesis addresses the implementation of didactic tool to musical movement activities of preschool children in kindergarten with respect to the integrative nature of education. The first part of the thesis is covering theoretical side of the important aspects of child development at the age of five to six years. Further it deals with the specifics of the development of musicality in preschoolers, especially focusing on instrumental side of the music. It highlights the musical creativity that flows from the principles of Orff School. Musical creativity is one of the objective of the thesis second, practical part. Here thesis research music educational project whose main component is a methodical set Cup Song that contains suggestions for practical usage. Experiment, observation and structured interview are used as methods of research that is focused on verification of the Cup Song impact on a musical and personal development of the child. Main part of work is devoted to description of arabian medieval music in Spain, and Ziryab, musician who was significantly involved in importing arabian music. Last part deals with modern arabian music in recent western civilization.
